We'll be grateful to you FOREVER if you help us get started:
About Us & Our Idea:
Hi! We're Arielle and Lo-Lo, two 10-year-olds that have been really good friends since kindergarten. We have an idea for a solution to one of elementary kids' greatest challenges: getting through lunch time!
That's why we're out to create You Rock Lunch Talk, a collection of cards with FUN questions for kids to ask each other at lunch time. These bilingual cards have three goals:
1) Help kids develop healthy conversation skills - and do so in a totally tech-free way.
2) Reduce bullying by encouraging kids to include EVERYONE in conversations. These cards also help the "talker" listen and the "listeners" find their voice.
3) Expose children to a second language, as questions are in both English and Spanish.
Right now, we're developing two versions of our concept, "BASIC" and "CLASSROOM" editions. We ultimately hope our products build greater sense of connection and community - and kinder world altogether!

The Kids Competition:
An organization called Start-Up Kids Club decided to hold a business pitch competition for children called Pitch Yea!
We entered the concept for You Rock Lunch Talk, and have been named one of three finalists in our age category! Woo hoo!
Now, we're working hard to turn our idea into reality - and ultimately prove that we have an idea for a product people truly want to buy. Not because we're adorable 10-year-olds, but because our product is AWESOME.
We'll pitch our idea and share the proof we have that there's demand for our product in front of live, celebrity judges on January 27 at the Paramount Theater (click here for tickets). The competition gives us the chance to win funding to move forward with our concept. In the meantime, we really appreciate your help by submitting your ideas for questions and/or making a reservation to be the first to buy our product.
Please help us make our product AWESOME by submitting truly FUN and ORIGINAL questions. For example, instead of "Do you like tacos?" our friend Beau asks the following:
We encourage you to be creative and fun with your questions, increasing your chances to be featured in You Rock Lunch Talk! :)

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER GAMES WITH QUESTIONS?
A: We're two, kind-hearted 10-year-old girls that are creating this game and vetting 100% of the questions. We also plan on donating at least 5% of our proceeds to charity.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR TWO PRODUCT CONCEPTS?
A: We plan for the "BASIC" option to contain a set of carefully-curated collection of questions. This is ideal for a child that likes having a special note sent in their lunch to help him or her start conversations.
We plan for the "CLASSROOM" option to contain a carefully-curated collection of questions along with two microphones and instructions on how an entire classroom can play You Rock Lunch Talk during lunch time. It comes packaged in a metal lunch box. This is ideal for anyone wanting to bring more balance and inclusion to a group of children's conversations.
Note: the two versions will feature different questions, so feel free to reserve each option!
Q: HOW MUCH WILL YOUR PRODUCTS COST?
A: We're not 100% sure at this time, as we're in the process of gathering cost data. But, our goal is for the Basic option to come in under $20 and the Classroom option at around $30.
Q: WHY SHOULD I MAKE A PRODUCT RESERVATION? WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO?
A: One of the most important things any business can do is get a sense for the demand for their product. We also think reservations will help us prove demand on competition night (click here to learn more about that). That said, we only want you to make a reservation if you genuinely plan on purchasing the product as soon as it's available so it's a true reflection of demand. We will save your info, and you'll be the FIRST to receive an email letting you know when product is available for actual purchase. We promise to NEVER use your email address for any other purpose!
Q: WHAT'S YOUR TIMELINE?
A: We're in the process of designing our product and preparing for the January 27 competition. If you (the marketplace) and judges agree that we have a good idea, we'll immediately move forward on production. Our ultimate goal is for people to have the product in-hand by the time the Fall 2019 school year begins.
Q: I HAVE AN ADDITIONAL QUESTION OR COMMENT. HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?
A: Please fill out the form above or send us a private message through our Facebook page.
